Five Ways to Incorporate Rose into Your Skincare

Rose has been a well-loved herb in skincare for thousands of years. It’s used to soften and nurture youthfulness, but how do we incorporate it into our everyday skincare routine? Here are our top five picks!

1. Warm Yourself with a Rose Tea

That’s right! Beauty starts from within, and astringent herbs such as rose and black tea are high in tannins that help tighten and tone your tissues, helping your skin to create an effective barrier against harmful pathogens.

2. Spritz on Some Rose Water

One of the most widely known uses of rose through the centuries is rose water, or a floral hydrosol made from rose petals. Since rose is astringent, it makes for a wonderful toner. Learn to make your own hydrosol here and look for our fresh rose hydrosols that we release in limited quantities every spring.

3. Treat Yourself to a Luxury Moisturizer

We named this whip “Luxury” for a reason, the powerhouse combo of freshly harvested elderflowers and rose petals infused into the oils of this lightly whipped tallow are both nourishing and pampering to the skin. Whether using it daily on the face or giving your hands or legs some love, this whip is sure to leave your skin feeling fresh and vibrant. Mix in a few drops of our Age Gracefully Serum for an extra boost of rose.

4. Cleanse and Moisturize with Rose & Tulsi Oil

Oil cleansing is an effective way to remove impurities from the skin without harming the skin’s natural lipid barrier. The rose in our Age Gracefully oil are a way to directly deliver the herbs’ benefits to the skin.

5. Unwind with a Herbal Steam

Add some dried rose petals to a bowl of boiling water to create a relaxing facial steam. This is a great self-care practice to help you unwind from a long week and to leave your skin feeling a little extra loved.

We hope you find a way to pamper yourself this month.
