Calendula is a nourishing and restorative herb that is great for use on scars and wounds.
Lavender maintains a healthy microbial balance and can improve skin’s health by increasing collagen production and soothing irritated skin.
Frankincense is often used for damaged and dry skin because of its astringent properties.
Tamanu works to increase the skin’s elasticity and helps to reduce marking, dryness, swelling and more. It contains antioxidants and is used in many anti-aging creams for its regenerative properties.
Comfrey also promotes elasticity of skin and is a great moisturizer, helping to prevent marking. It is also used to prevent and lessen permanent skin damage. It contains allantoin, which boosts the growth of new skin cells.
Plantain has an astringent property that can be used for inflammation of the skin, insect bites, sunburns, pain relief and long-term skin damage. It’s a good detox herb and helps with sensitive skin.

Texas Tallow products contain no preservatives or stabilizers, so if placed in a warm environment they may melt, causing separation. This is normal and does not cause any change in the product, simply mix gently and store in a cool place. Additionally, if placed in a cool environment they may be more firm.
